what do the experts think of this combo?

4.75x4.560
dart big m heads
13:1 comp
sheet metal ram, 6" tappered runners
2x 1190 DR Demons
110 lobe
270/280
790/750
vac pump

should it crack the 1000hp mark?

That combo shouldnt have any problem cracking the 1000hp mark IMO

If you cannot hit 1000 hp with that, you better take up a new hobby...... :lol:
I dunno about the demons though.....not my carb of choice....

i have a 622...little bigger cam...i also have big chief heads 14 degree,,,worked to the max...EPD sheet metal intake,,,dry sump..pair of 1200 chuck Nuyghtten dominaters..
and it made right at 1200 hp..and well into the 900 TQ range

so i would say no doubt yopu will be all over 1,000 hp

BigM heads usually need a bunch of work from what I have seen just to make run right....not darts best work thats for sure.....
I would look into some BMFs or Profilers for my dime if your stayin conventional....

or did what I did,buy some big chief pro 1s and have them opened up
to match your CID -

I had a set of big m's on a 548 they were the pro-mod ported from dart. I took them off and put a set of cnc'd dart 355's on and lost .05

I think the Dart Big M is a great head for your combo, .
I've made TONS of power with them but they do need a little
porting to clean up the bowls etc.

It should crack 1000hp without much problem, .

the heads are big m super mod, 420@ .850, i will take them out to full polish specs of 433@ .850.
what octane fuel will be needed with this combo?

1st off i am a Sunoco Dealer and Ex VP fuel dealer.


the octane rating is conssdered only to combat detonation due to high compression.

if your motor is 13.1..then 110 octane would be fine..and if you wanted to add a little room for safety then the 112 supreme would be more than enough..
DO NOT use pump gas with your combo..

say i went back to 11:1 comp and 100 octane pump? what would be a ball park hp figure?
