Last 383 I built weas way back in the early 1980's. I have built several Mopars over the years but all my Mopar guys want to use either the 440 or the 400 blocks, even if they had the 383 blocks. So that is the direcetion I have been going.

I also do something a little not Mopar recommended but it works ok. I have done several using the lowly 516 casting number cylinder heads and working those out using bigger vlaves and lots of porting. Mopar calls that a closed chamber head. I make all my Mopar engines into a quench/squish style of engine even when I have to use the 906 heads.
