I just order 2 fuel psi gauges for the reg. and the pump. Doe's anybody no where to set the pump psi at ? My press. keep's changing without doing with system. BARRY GRANT says it's my gauge because it's wet and the weather makes it change psi ( wrong reading ) . I'm trying to fix the problem so I move on. THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS

Most BG pump are bench set at 28 psi. I like to run them at 20 to 25 to the reg. Use your bypass on the pump to set this. Then set your reg to carb at 6 1/2 to 7.0 psi. If you have more than 25psi to the reg. you may get creep. Thats where your carb psi creeps up while your not flowing much fuel.
good luck

or just sell it and get you a magnsfuel 500 and be done with it. I've had mine since 2001 or 2002 back when they were magnaflow and have had ZERO issues. great pump.

I forgot . It's a B.G. 280 pump and a 3 port (2 out 1 in ). -10 linr to B.G. filter, to pump , 1/2 line to reg. and -8 from reg. to carb.

ive seen first hand that liquid filled gages are a bad idea because the heat of under the hood can distort gage cause of the liquid in them.

also ive done reserch and found magna fuel is the only company who makes regulators that can fully control line pressures exceeding 24 lbs.i called all the major players when i set up my fuel system and i would do it no other way than to use their top line regulators.i even dead head regulators with my superflow pump(original name of magna fuel they said this pump is good up to 2000 or 2500 hp i cant remember...)

good luck always do as much reserch you can before you invest one cent for making fewest mistakes possible!!! good luck

When I bought mine they were called MAGNAFLOW which at the time I thought bwas funy cause there was the mufflers with the same name. I have the Pro Star 500 without the filter built on and the two port regulator.I run a inline filter built by the company my father works for..they make em for sprint cars...just looks like a 2" tube with an fittings on the end.
