The term " Is this a simple swap", depends GREATLY on the experience and knowledge of the person performing the swap, availability of proper tools, patience, and a place to work.

To one of us old greybeards, yes, it is a 'simple' swap. To a newcomer to car crafting with ZERO exposure to the skills needed, then No it is not.

There are many questions that need solutions.
Example;
- What exactly is the intended use of the final product?
- What condition is the body and the donor vehicle ?
- What are the years of the original and donor ?

ok,the intended is going to be for racing only....
the jeep is a 94 wrangel....
the part's or off my 80 chevy race truck.....
i trashed the frame on the truck and im wanting to swap every thing over to the jeep......
i was wondering if the leaf's were the same distance from perch to perch ???
and am i going to have to make a tranny /transfere mount ????
i have the motor mount's and hedder's....
thank's for your time ...... chevy

Simple answer, nothing will be the same. It's all gonna be fabricated, but putting leaf spring axles under any truck is not hard. The hardest part and that's not hard, is making the mounts for the transfer case so everything lines up. Take you time and tack weld everything till you get it all in. Then go back and weld it up.

If you have to ask if its simple, then you probably dont realize all thats involved, which is basically building a whole new vehicle. For me, yes this would not be that difficult, i have all the tools and do this sort of thing on a regular basis. Good Luck!
