DRAGSTER WRAP
DRAGSTER WRAP? Pro"s and Con's vs Paint?
|
I've only seen a few but I'll give you my take on them. They are dull and look nothing like paint. The one guy I talked to said he wouldnt do it again because like most stuff it was coming off to easy. IMO I'd paint a car all 1 color before I put a wrap on it, just looks to dull for me.

I had an old subaru a couple years ago that had a camo vinyl wrap done to it... it was used more to keep the bondo and rust togeather then anything but it held up great for the year or so that I owned it, the car was used as a daily driver and off road beater. went through some VERY thick brush with it and it never scratched or peeled off at all.
here are a couple pics after it was on the car for about 3 years and a year of me daily driving it and beating on it off road. http://img328.imageshack.us/img328/317/wagon2gg1.jpg in this pic, you can see some rust in the rear quarter panel on top of the tire. this was about a 3/4" strip that was NOT covered with the camo vinyl and was sprayed with ryno-liner truck bed liner. http://img328.imageshack.us/img328/6783/wagon4ii3.jpg I was very impressed with its performace at least off-road, that car didnt have the guts to get above 65 though. not sure what effect it would have at 150+mph. |
