last word on starters
 

I have an 80 malibu idrag race,I use a starter made by ICI.It has never failed to opperate but allways seem to find a spot on the flexplate where it does not engage the teath.I have changed flexplates and have the same trouble.This starter does not have a pinion support.I run headers w/heat wrap.Any ideas?
