i am building a 406 sbc with .900 small base roller cam. i have .100 longer pushrods and i don't have an adjustable pushrod with the .100 longer pushrods the rockers are not touching valve tip the heads are AFR 210 AND I'VE TRIED 2 SETS OF ROCKERS AND BOTH SEEM TO NOT CLEAR THE RETAINER WILL THE LONGER PUSHRODS CORRECT THE ROCKER PROBLEM? WHAT LENGTH DO I NEED .150 OR .200 LONGER NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO TELL ME I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO BUY MORE ROCKERS. I JUST NEED HELP ON PUSHROD LENGTH AND IF THAT WILL HELP WITH ROCKER ISSUE.ANY HELP THANKS!! using fel-pro 1034 head gaskets and 13.5 comp. forged pistons

What size valve springs are on the heads :?: Also they probably came with .100 long valves so you may need .200 lg push rods. You'll $'s ahead if you just buy an adjustable pushrod for $15.00 and do the measurement, all cam company's sell them and so does Manton.

THANKS 4 ADVICE ZIP!! THEY HAVE 1.550 SPRINGS AND THEY DID COME WITH .100 LONGER VALVES SO YOU THINK THEY NEED .200 LONGER? LOVE THE MALIBU

Thanks, i'm going to run it this weekend. .200 may work, but if they don't you're out $80.00 to $100.00, it's just a better investment to buy the adjustable push rod., and then you'll know for sure what length you need.
