ok boys help out this ol outlaw. on my ranchwagon gotta 383 stroker with 350 trans. if this car sitsfor a few days,say 5 to 6,i wake up to a suprise.trans fliud all over the ground. if i dont start this car it will leak until it cant leak anymore.if i start it every day no leak. damndest thing i ever saw! looks to be comin from the speedo cable,dipstck tube and a few more places!ive wiped it clean and let it sit. then before i start it ive crawled underneath and wet in all the mentioned places/ HELP...and what could cause this

Ken, I would check the "o" ring behind the vacuum modulator.
Does the trans have a vent tube on the top of it. If there is one , it may be plugged by a "muddauber" nest.

something else I have seen is some tranny coolers are mounted way higher than the tranny itself, after its sits over time the fluid wants to run back into the tranny sometime overflowing out the nearest opening it can find. I had this problem on another car I had, the tranny cooler was mounted high on the radiator support almost even with the top of the radiator, it would leave a puddle after it sat for a few days. I bought a smaller cooler and moved it down low and never had the problem again.

Torque converter draining back? It used to happen with the old 727 trans.

Torque converter is draining back into pan. If fill tube o-ring, speedo outlet and so on are not sealed properly, once the level rises to these points you will have a leak.
