Any one remember this OLD 350 turbo trick ???

i remember along time ago (1991...lol) a guy at a tranny shop told me u can take the spring out of the side of the tranny (i think where the govoner is) & replace it with a small piece of broom stick and would make it hit extra hard.

i dont remember if the stick had to be longer or shorter but it did work

i know this sounds shade tree but building a buggy & was wondering if anyone rememberd how to do it.

thanks for your time & info...never did buy any trannys there...lol

Yes,you can make it shift a little hard with a different servo. The best thing to do is get the servo for a older vette or call TCI.For 75$ dollars or so get a good shift kit,I would NOT put a stick in there, you will end up on the side of the road with a 1500$ repair bill.!!!

All you have to do is remove the spring, the springs job is to slow the apply rate of the servo piston, most shift kits tell you to leave it out for street/strip
