This is fun;
.030 over is usually called a 461. A few people call it a 460. I used to and still do at times call my old .030 a 460 because that is what it really was.

.030 is usually called a 461, it is ocassionally called a 460.

It is not a matter of one is correct threrore the other is wrong. Both are accepted as being correct. The terminology for a Chevy of .030 is usually not 460.

In reality if the bore sizes were exact, which they seldom are. Usually they are under.

454 + .030 = 460.3 cubic inches.
If there is an additional .001 or more dimension on cylinder bore for additional clearances, it could round offf to be the next number higher which will make it a 461 ci un.

Same applies to the .060 overbore.

454 + .060 = 466.8 cu in. Rounded off will be 467 cu in
If that 4.310 bore was to be increased to 4.313 or above it can them be correctly called a 468 cu in.
