split dominators and anti reversion plates?

What do you guys think of split dominators? Is it a big advantage to have the carbs directly over the intake runners? I'm going from a single dominator on a spider intake to 1 split dominator on a 468 ci sb2.2. M&m competition engines is making it and I decided to go with quick fuel splits with magna fuel anti reversion plates. If you guys need more info let me know. M&M competition engines does have an advertising ad on racing junk also. Thanks,

Anthony

Never ran splits, but the local carb guru says it is worth a little in terms of it being a short shot straight into the runners. He (Gary Williams) has been splitting them for years. Last time I was there, I was looking at a LOONNNG dominator he had on an intake. Seems the rules for the customers class had changed, specifying no splits. So Gary joined the splits together, while leaving them spread out. Wild looking to say the least...

You mean like this? Is it for a race car or a street car? Race car, I would run the barrels inline, down the center.

Mine is just a single Dominator, for now...
