I ran that same cam in a 10:1 406 SBC and it flat hauled, have fun.

I have to ask, why are you going to run titanium rods in a motor you are looking to run a "safe" rpm? Also if you want someone to run a drag program you need to include tranny choice.

opps ok I fixed it
car has a TH350 the engine came with the rods so ill use em. I figured 65000-6800 would be a good starting point because all I know about the motor is that its a modified IMOD motor. still has the original cam which they are restricted to use . its good to hear someone else ran that cam in a 406 I was kinda concered that it was pretty small. |
Man the rods are worth more than the engine, wanna trade them for some good H beams. Hehe JK

yeah even though the effective range of the cam is below what the rest of the rotating assy can handle I was gonna use it anyhow for the street.
that why I wanted to see what the motor will put out. |
Just my opinion here mate... over here we'd never put a cam which is as small as the one you've listed into a motor of that size, even for full street use. I'd be heading towards 0.550" lift at least with a 112 l/c minimum (probably a 110 l/c) & 246 @ .050". That is a baby cam which will idle real smoothe.
Even my road car which has a baby 310ci V8 in it has 0.555" at the valve with 1.65 rollers, 108 l/c & 248 @ .050". The cam just seems way too small to me. :) |
yeah I know its being changed now but I wanted to see the numbers once I found out what cam is in there.
