Downing Atlanta is an authorized dealer for the HANS device. This is the business home of the founders of the HANS device with over 25 years of experience fitting the HANS to the broadest range of driver/seat applications in racing series such a NHRA, USAC, Sprints, Midgets, NASCAR, IMSA, ALMS, Grand-Am, IndyCar, Formula 1, SCCA, etc.
Downing Atlanta also produces custom carbon composite parts and CNC machined parts for clients and provides composite bodywork repairs, chassis repairs, and restoration for vintage prototype sports racing cars. DA has over 40 years of experience as a racing shop including the design, fabrication and manufacture of the Kudzu sports racing cars. Jim Downing’s teams have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Daytona Rolex 24, the Sebring 12 Hour, and numerous IMSA championships.
