The car is a 1971 all steel body Vega (except for a fiberglass hood). Mild steel chassis that is completely TIG welded. The car was professionally built and has current IHRA and NHRA chassis certification and is certified to 8.50. Strange strut front end, FAB 9" rear housing filled with Moser parts aluminum center, 35 spline axles, 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 link suspension with Koni double adjustable rear shocks. Car has brand new Hoosier tires all 4 corners with 5 runs. Dual Optima red tops, ECAE mini altenator, Mega 350, #1 stop throttle stop (car currently set up for IHRA Hot Rod), Seat bels good until 6/11, air shifter, Glide with 1.80 "straight cut" gears, Turbo input shaft, Kevlar band, 6 clutch high drum, dual servo, trans brake, BTE 8" converter, all fresh. The engine is a 540" Big Block. Chevrolet Bowtie Tall Deck Block, Eagle Crank and Rods, Wiesco pistons, Crower roller cam and Crower stainless roller rockers, Comp +.300 lifters. Car will pass tech at any track or National Event. No junk, race ready. Will sell turn key, roller, bracket ready, throttle stop ready, ect.. Can even add a small shot of N2O for those times they are needed (if bracket racing). Call me to discuss. Very consistant car that has lived with a fair driver and will hit the index or dial-in easily. All spares included (too much to list) as well as weather station and all run records. Jump into a winning car. Has won over $40k in the last 7 years (and the driver is not that good).

24' enclosed trailer for sale also. Trailer can't go until car goes. It is a 1996 United Expressline 24' enclosed. I just put 2 new 6000 lb axles with aluminum wheels and new tires under it in the winter of 2007-2008. The trailer has a Generac generator mounted on the tongue (4000 watt that surges to 6600 watt) and is wired for 110v lights and outlets. It has a bench in the front with cabinets, electric winch, spare wheel and tire mounted inside, tie downs in the floor, trimmed in aluminum sheet metal and diamond plate. Trailer tows excellent, brakes and lights work very well. Trailer also has a set up to haul a Jr. Dragster in it too.

Car $20k
Trailer $6k

Questions & Answers about this ad

Question:

Hi, I am interested in your cVega and have some questions. 1. Do you know the weight of the car? 2. Can you tell me the 1/4 mile ET, 60' time and MPH in its current configeration? 3. Is the front nose cone removal? Thanks, Joe

Answer:

Car weighs 2400 lbs ready to race no driver the way it currently sits. The car is currently set up for IHRA Hot Rod with is throttle stopped to 10.90 and runs it at 143-144 mph. By taking off the throttle stop, it will run high 9.20s to low 9.30s with me (230 lb driver) with a 60 ft of around 1.27-1.28 at about 146-147 mph. The front end comes off with about 5 dzus fastners and 4 pins. The radiator stays on the frame and it can be driven without the front sheet metal. This is a full tube chassis car with a steel body.
