After getting into the Chevelle's body work, I found out it's not actually a 68 Chevelle after all. Someone sculpted a 68 Chevelle out of bondo and fiberglass. So far I fixed the frame where it was rotted, and replaced the front clip. I'm working on the cowl and firewall now. This thing is taking so much metal work, it would've been easier to build a street rod from a body that was sitting in a junk for the past 20 years. I'll be working on the floors next and then the doors, 1/4's etc. I just started at the fron bumper and I'm working my way back. By the time I bolt the rear bumper back on, I'll have a brand new 68 Chevelle.

| After putting the old transmission in a customer's car, and the old engine in my wife's truck, I can honestly say the other guy got the better end of the deal. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, on the Chevelle was even usable. What a piece of crap I got. The engine had all kinds of stripped out bolt holes in the casting, the trans had a bad pump housing, the body is so bad, the only piece of metal I can save is the roof. ....and that needs extensive repair work! Yep that guy got an 11 second car, and I got got scrap steel. Think I'm mad? | |

| ......just to clarify, I'm seeing the project through. It WILL be perfect when I'm done, and it'll be done the right way! |
