Rollerized Transbrake Turbo 400 transmission that was built with someone who has 30
years of Drag racing experience. This was Just Built, Not raced and then rebuilt. This
unit starts off with a BRAND NEW HD case. The Bellhousing tabs were cleaned off for
better fit of a CSI shield. The case is also deburred inside and out. There is a brand
new COAN PRO-Tree Transbrake Valvebody assy (I love their solinoids). The Output
assembly is a set of Heavy Duty Straight cut planetary gears and a SOLID HD output
shaft. It is fitted with a New hardened pump Stator support., Teflon converter bushing
and a New AC/Delco front seal. Gear are in Excellent condition. It was built using a 6
-6-4 clutch setup, All Alto Reds and Kolene steels. All pressure plates are fine sanded
for flatness too. The Forward 6 clutch drum has Alto Reds and Kolenes steels and a New 4140 Heavy Duty Billet Steel input hub. This has a TRUE 6 clutch dual feed Direct Drum(**4 Feed Holes**). The Direct clutch pack has been clearanced using Thick Kolene steels, and 6 Alto Red Clutches to get the .070 clearence I like. The Intermediate is a 4 Clutch setup with Alto Reds and Kolene steels. HD 2nd gear Snap ring (.106), and comes with the HD Pressure plate support tab(uses the old front band anchor pin hole). New TCI Kevlar rear band. This is a Custom made roller unit that has 7 Rollerbearings, not just 3. There is 1 in the back (great 60'), 1 between output carriers(quick 2nd) and 1 between the clutch drums (no friction between shifts) and 1 behind the front pump. These still have the factory 3 bearings too. I have a tool which machines the back of the case perfectly, So I can use the hardened race others throw away (.086-.096) AND still fit the big .140 rollerbearing in the back. I have been building these for the last 22 years and Everyone that is using one of these, has absolutely loved it! Great 60" times and quick shifts. Unit has a new TCI 34 Element sprag and New GM Spiral lock(The GM locking type) instead of the factory snap ring. A new low roller clutch, and lightened forward and direct drums and a lightened Reaction carrier. All pistons are cast aluminum and machined for proper clearance. I also port the case and center support for quick clutch apply and the Pump for better flow. New bushings in the pump, Stator support tube, rear case, center support and tailhousing. I only replace the others if needed. New JW Teflon sealing rings. New gaskets, oil seals and lipseals. This was completely cleaned, clearenced and built to my exact specifications that I learned over the years of building and racing these. New Thick Aluminum B&M pan for strength and a high flow brass screen filter. The tailhousing is the Wrecker thick support one. The Pro tree Transbrake valve was clearanced correctly for both engaged brake position and High gear apply position. This gives a Great 3rd gear shift. The Case Vent hole is drilled and taped for 1/8"-27npt and has high pressure fitting installed with a short tube. The Pictures show EXACTLY what you are buying. If you know anything about TH400's, You can see this is the good stuff. I take pride in every unit I have built. I'm in Tyler area, But can deliver to some surrounding areas. 2100.00 FIRM.
