Selling my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback. Asking $25k but willing to negotiate; the car must go.
The car was built to drag race and then I decided to make street legal. I purchased most of the parts needed but lost the time to complete and need to sell. The car has only ran about 2 dozen times on the 8th mile; average times were 7.10 - 7.15 sec. There is well over $50k in parts and work put into the car as it sits and I am also throwing in all the extras listed below. The racing build was no garage bolt-on job, each step was meticulously calculated and much of it was done by professionals. The specs of the car as well as the parts the buyer will receive are listed below:
360 L.A. block with 408 stroker kit professionally installed
Proform 950 carb w/ Holley bowls
Keith Black Icon flat-top pistons - block has been professionally zero-decked
Edelbrock aluminum intake
Edelbrock aluminum heads with stage 3 port polish and double coil-overs - professionally done by Shady Dell Speedshop
Purple-Shaft high-lift Cam
Crank has been professionally four-bolted - 2x spline, 2x straight
Entire rotating assembly has been professionally internally balanced
MSD Hi-Flo fuel pump with 5/8" internal dia fuel lines
Torc Flight 707 transmission professionally modified with full reverse manual valve body - 3-speed B&M Slap-Shifter
8-Point roll cage - have 2 extra bars to make 10-point but the sub-frame connectors need extended a few more inches first
Like-new Mickey Thompson wrinkle wall slicks and Moroso skinneys - slicks have only ran about a dozen 1/8th mile runs
Chrysler 8 3/4 rear end with 4.10 Spool
Original hood has hole cut in center for vortex air cleaner setup - have since modified with a lower profile setup to fit a fiber glass hood (fiber glass hood included in purchase - just needs painted)
Original dash - has a split down the top from age. All factory gauges minus factory clock. Aftermarket tach, oil pressure, water temp, and fuel psi installed.
Extra Parts I am throwing in:
Brand new custom Fit Gryphon radiator with 2x fans and shroud (guaranteed to cool up to 1000 HP)
Brand new Mickey Thompson Pro Street tires w/ brand new Weld Racing Rims - zero miles
Brand new Cooper Cobra tire set for front - zero miles
Rebuilt windshield wiper motor for 69 Barracuda
Original Wiper Blades
2x Rolls of Fat Mat sound deadener
Brand New Single piece custom fit carpet for 69 Barracuda - still have box, only took it out to inspect
Brand new Painless wiring harness w/ matching Painless Powerbraid kit - car has original working wires but I purchased this to replace the 50 yr old wires
Moroso electric fuel pump
Brand new Kirkey aluminum racing seats with brackets and Kirkey set covers
Several sets of Simpson 5-point seat belts with quick release
Set of HID Projector headlights
5x Sidemarker assemblies and LED strips if wanted (never finished assembling)
New trunk and door lock assemblies
Extra deck lid face plate - both need some TLC with a finessed hammer and dolley and buffing
Have 2 of the original hub caps and all the original badges
And a bunch more parts...
Other Notes: The Plum Crazy paint job is no 'Parade Queen' special, it was done by a college kid learning to paint, only half has been wet sanded and there are a few areas where he wet sanded too deep. This car has a clean, original title, no salvage. But despite the minor paint flaws, as you can see from the image the car is still a head-turner. This is not a numbers-matching car, original block was blown by previous owner. Previous owner had a minor collision - front bumper has a dent. Only one rust spot was found in the trunk but was repaired with metal (no bondo junk). Inside has been completely repainted with black rust resistant paint. Only minor surface rust anywhere on car, its entire life (after being built) has been in Texas.
