A minimum 12” enclosure which covers the slip yoke and drive shaft is required in many classes by major sanctioning bodies in order to protect a driver by retaining a broken or lose drive shaft in the event of driveline failure.
TMRC's extreme duty Drive Shaft Enclosure creates a double layer of containment with its floating tunnel design. Unlike basic designs where the enclosure is welded to drive shaft loops, this system allows the enclosure tube to take the initial impact of a driveline failure and often retains a drive shaft without causing damage to the outer loops. Repair or replacement of the enclosure tube is much easier and less expensive than replacing an entire unit that is to its outer loops.
The second layer of protection in the TMRC Drive Shaft Enclosure system is a pair of ultra-strong Removable Drive Shaft Loops that feature superior strength and quality.
Do you trust a pair of flimsy 3/8” tabs and tiny pull pins to secure your loops in place while a drive shaft is slinging wildly out of control at 6,000 RPM? TMRC’s Removable Drive Shaft Loops utilize a reliable sleeve mount design with solid loop stands that are precisely machined for a smooth, secure fit to the chassis. Heavy duty quick pins unite the loops with your chassis and center enclosure tube.

This complete Drive Shaft Enclosure Kit designed for automatic transmissions features a 18” long piece of our 5" X .065" wall enclosure tube as well as a two Removable Drive Shaft Loops, quick release pins, mounting tabs and brackets.
*If you are running a carbon fiber or other large diameter drive shaft, we recommend upgrading to the 6” enclosure tube for additional clearance.
