Here is one of the prettiest 1971 Pontiac GTOs around. While I look like a Judge I must tell the truth; I am not a real Judge but I think I am prettier than Judge Judy!
For sale is a beautiful 1971 Pontiac GTO highly modified both mechanically and cosmetically. This car is a true GTO. One owner built the engine to run fast and the next owner invested a small fortune to make it appear as a Judge. I have pictures and documentation from both owners over the years and I have owned it for 3 years.
To the best of my knowledge the 400 CI engine/drive train has been modified with the following; Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 750 CFM 4 BBL Q-Jet carb, HEI ignition (may be Pertronix), solid lifters, rollers, RA IV type camshaft, chrome valve covers, 2½" Flowmaster exhaust, and more. The TH400 transmission has a shift kit and is equipped with a 2500 RPM stall torque converter. The engine mods are on paper calculated to produce 380 HP and 440 FT LB of torque output by the person who built the engine.
More documentation includes PHS docs with copy of window sticker, pictures showing a detailed transformation to the beautiful Judge tribute you see today. While it was assembled in California it first sold in Idaho. Then I can trace it to Washington state and finally to Illinois where the bodywork and paint were completed. An additional touch is the restored 14" honeycomb wheels which are clear coat protected for lasting appearance. Yes, I know the honeycomb wheels were more of a Firebird/Trans Am thing but the look great and I believe you could have had the Pontiac dealer put them on in the day. If you prefer the Rallye wheels, sell these as they are perfectly restored! The cars finish is rich and nearly flawless as shown in the photos in this ad.
In the photos you will see that the tach is working and oil pressure and temperature gauges at 1000 RPM and warmed up. Built to be fast and good looking!
As of Feb. 2016, Hagerty valuations put a true Judge at $77100 although I have seen them go for more. Since this is not a true Judge I am asking a little less than half price which is about what clones and tributes sell for. For the price you get a beautiful appearing car in a world of few available Judges.
