Monitoring fuel pressure to evaluate your fuel induction system will give you only half of the answer. Since an engine thrives on volume, rather than pressure, tuning is more precise when the actual fuel consumption is known. By installing a flow meter between the metering valve and the distribution block you can monitor just how much fuel volume is being delivered to the engine. Installing a second flow meter on the return side of a fuel system will allow you to monitor the condition of your fuel pump by adding the two GPM’s together.
These general purpose turbine-type flow meters require an available digital channel on your data recorder for each meter. Gas and Nitro flow meters are aluminum. Alcohol applications use a stainless steel flow meter.
