I built this unique trailer to tow behind my Miata! It only weighs a little over 1200 pounds. I was towing it behind a first generation Miata with no issues whatsover. The trailer was no taller than the car, so it went down the road like a bullet!
I had a ball building it and it shows in the fabrication. Unfortunately, my karts were stolen while in storage and I'm getting out of karting (at least for now).
If you have interest, I have MANY detailed photos showing all the features. In short, you can haul three karts, one inside and two on top. There is room for tires, fuel, tools, etc. I had a tool chest bolted in when I used it and never reallly unloaded the trailer, at the track or at home. The attached photos when unpainted shows how everything works together. There is even a dedicated bin for an EZ Up.
At home, I just opened the doors and worked off the trailer. My tools were always in the main tool box I was using (no longer installed). When I went to the track, I just opened the doors and pulled my kart out. Everything else stayed on the trailer. When ready to leave, I was gone in five minutes with no need to repack everything.
The polished aluminum diamond plate top and side storage compartments can be removed in minutes to haul a motorcycle.
This trailer is perfect for someone who owns a small or sports car and doesn't have access to a large tow vehicle. It is easy to store and rolls easily by one person, even when loaded. It has a very long tongue, so the turning circle in Miata was the same with or without the trailer.
