The "Nascar Dragster" was fabricated by chassis builder Mike Laughlin with 3” x 4” frame, full NASCAR type 1 ¾” roll cage, sheet metal body, a driver’s side door was cut. Has new 9” rear with camber adjustment, Penske buildable shocks, new springs, new trailing arms, new Griffin radiator, new transmission cooler in rear fire wall, new racing seat, full Auto Meter gauges, all safety equipment,
sheet metal/Kevlar fuel cell in rear, 10” wheels on rear with narrow tires on front. The transmission is a Turbo 400 built by Cook’s in Spartanburg, SC with no passes. The body has been in the wind tunnel and has been tested at 190 MPH.
The motor is a 383 four bolt with less than 10 passes in another car. It has Eagle all forged rotating assembly fully balanced with dome pistons, Moroso oil pan, high volume oil pump, World Products torquer heads, Crower valve train, Race Gold roller rockers, girdle, long tube headers, CSR billet electric water pump, Edlebrock Victor Jr intake, Moroso valve covers and air cleaner, dual ignition boxes with rev limiter, Holley fuel pump, Holley 750 carb and new electric fan. The shifter is a B&M pro ratchet. The car weighs 2750 lbs.
