This is my 1963 International Scout 80 4x4 Handcrafted by Swanson Fabrication. I wanted to build a 4x4 since i was a kid and I liked Jeeps and Broncos but I went for something more unusual, a Scout. I started what turned into a four year project costing 4x what i expected but here it is! I am now selling the scout to help with my school loans from my doctorate degree.

Motor: 350 chevy short block stroked to 383 delivering 450 hp at the fly!
-aluminum heads, valve covers and single pulley system
-Pro flow fuel injection system
This is one of my favorite part of this motor! It has the ability with the handheld device to control your fuel air ratio at any vacuum while driving and is very easy to operate! (like playing a video game) The motor was put on the dyn and tuned with this onboard unit two different times costing $500 each time to get it tuned to the correct Air fuel ratio.
-10:1 compression
-gear drive, no cain (sounds like a blower wine)
Over 10K was invested in this motor!
-power steering
-power breaks

AC: Hot rod air had a kit for both AC and heat that was fabricated in the scout sitting in a custom box over the fender in the motor compartment. and blows cold! or Hot! with outside vent and recirculate options, aluminum louvers below the dash panel

Exhoust: camaro headers, 2inch all the way out with dual long chamber mangnaflow mufflers You can feel that sound in your chest!

Transmission: 700r4 overdrive built by Jenson automotive with a aggressive shift kit that really bites going through the gears. with this tranny at 80 mph the rpms are at 2600! The scout gets an average of 13.5 miles per gallon!

Axles: Dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear. The front has a posy traction and the rear a detroit locker. the gear ratio is 456!

Transfer case: 205 chevy case fully rebuild all gears no chain
4 high and low, 2 high

Suspension: Alcan spring made me 6"inch lift custom springs with a shackle reversal set up for a better ride. The 7inch leaf lift plus the 6inch over axil conversion and the 3inch body lift makes this about a 15inch lift overall. The reason i went this high is because i wanted to utilize the 14inch of travel i have with my bilstein 7100 shocks without cutting the fenders.
With the wide stance of the axels I have not compromised the stability of the scout.
-custom latter arms to prevent axle rap and insure grip to the road in exceleration
-suspension limiter over the front differential preventing front drive line binding.
-Bump stops with poly urithan bushings protecting the fenders

Drivelines: Custom built cv jointed and 20inch slip sleeve on the front. Absolutely no vibrations from the angles!

Wheels and Tires: Baja belted 36X14.5X14 and the MT classic chrome 12x15 rims

Shocks: Bilstein 7100 reservoir shocks 4 in the front custom valve for the weight. Beilstein 9100 non-resevored shocks 4 in the back. These shocks are amazing There is no need for a sway bar with these 8 shocks they hold up the scout like a sports car in the turns!! These shocks are 14inch of travel and every inch of them is used in articulation!

Fuel System: Stock two saddle 10 gal side tanks custom interconnected to a center 16gal fuel cell holding a total of 36 gallons! (can fill up from either side!)

Satin black: axles, rocker guards, bumpers and interior
Chassy black: frame
3M ever coat rubberised: whole interior including doors, floor, fire wall, tail gate and underneath the entire body.
Imperial orange from the Nissan 350Z was used to pain the body, jams, shock hoops, roll cage and dash.
The scout was competly sandblasted and disassembles to nuts and bolts before fabrication body and paint work! (as you can see form the pictures)
-The body has many custom trims, cuts and fills that only a professional would notice

Roll cage: The word fabrication became a whole new meaning when I started this project after spending 3 weeks in my garage building a 11 point cage with reinforced mounts in every point and a full spider on top.

Shock hoops: Thank God for the hydraulic bender at the muffler shop with many trips back and Forth they are one of a kind 3 point welded.
-pre runner bumper style bumper on the front with a fabricated receiver
-rocker guards
-pre runner rear bumper
-custom in body rear hitch

Seats: JC buckets with 5 point quick release front and back. flip and
tumble rear bench seat to make for full bed storage space.

Audio: 650 watt 4 channel amp with two 6x9 rear kenwood and two alpine 6.5 with a pioneer head unit fit for ipod/cd. its enough to hear over the motor and that's sayn something!

This is a show quality vehicle and the asking price doesn't even cover the cash put out for receipts not including the hands on labor from body work, sand blasting, fabrication, electrical and paint...

Includes fully restored hard top!
