Unfortunately I have decided to sell my BRAND NEW 2013 custom built one of a kind Husky Cargo trailer. It was custom designed in 2012 and completed in 2013 with the intention of being my race trailer for the NARRA Radical series. However, due to work and other commitments like a new baby my participation in the series never happened. And then I thought I might be able to participate in the series next year. Not going to happen!
So my pride and joy custom designed trailer has never left my warehouse and has never had a single race car grace its interior. The only miles it has were the highway miles to deliver it from Husky to my warehouse in California. Since then it has not left my warehouse once nor been loaded with a single car. So it’s essentially a brand new, never been used, and never gone anywhere trailer!
What does this mean? It means the trailer is new, looks new, has no dents, dings or any kind of damage. Has no oil on the rubber floor, no scratches on the interior and nothing for me to identify as being something for anyone to be concerned about. Unless Husky test ran the lift or test drove a car into the trailer there has never been a car in the trailer since it arrived to my warehouse. I have never used the lift a single time to lift a single car. So it’s as new as the day it was delivered.
Will it carry normal cars? It was designed and built to carry race cars hence the lower profile (versus traditional stackers). It can carry exotics since most of them are low profile. Can it carry BMWs or higher profile cars? Yes. But probably only one high profile car since that one would have to go under the Gemini lift with the lift raised most of the way up.
What kind of cars can it carry? It was designed to carry four race cars so if you intend to try to carry four exotic cars (ie. Ferraris, Corvettes, etc.) that won’t likely work. For one thing the gross weight of the cargo can’t exceed about 11000 pounds. That’s would be an average of around 2250 per car and no Ferrari or Corvette weighs 2250 (we wish they did!). So it would really be three of those types of cars at 3500 pounds apiece. Or in my case I could carry four of my race cars which each weighed 1500 pounds and have a ton of capacity left over!
How does it work? The way it works is pretty simple. If you have four race cars to be loaded you would load the first one onto the Gemini lift and then lift it up to meet the “fixed” upper deck in the front of the trailer. Once the Gemini is on the same level as the fixed upper deck you simply push the car forward onto the fixed deck and strap it down. You then load the second car while the Gemini is in the up position and push it all the way forward on the bottom floor of the trailer (ends up underneath the fixed deck). Strap that car down. You then lower the Gemini and load the third car onto the Gemini and lift that car up to the same level as the upper deck car. Lock the Gemini into place and then load the fourth car underneath it. Done!
Interior Description? The interior is completely finished with carpeted side walls, glossy white aluminum panels and custom rubber flooring throughout (including the fixed upper deck). The Gemini lift is white. There are interior lights and two side doors in the front of the trailer for easy access to tie down or load other cargo when the trailer is not full.
Dimensions? The dimensions are as follows:
· 32 foot box bumper pull trailer
· 6 foot tongue (overall length back of trailer to tip of tongue is 38 feet)
· 47 inches clearance from floor to bottom of fixed deck
This trailer is a one of a kind custom four race car trailer. There is nothing like it out there unless you custom build it. The trailer is ready to go and can be viewed or picked up in Costa Mesa, California 92626.
The 2013 GMC Denali long bed dually diesel (10k miles) is also available for an additional cost. The truck is loaded with every possible option available.
