1995 Honda Accord Road Race Car (Convert to ITS/ITR/H1/H2)
Originated as a 1995 Honda Accord EX durability (DUR) test car - no VIN, never saw the street
One season with HART team then took car over in 1996
Raced IMSA 96/97 - compact class
Converted to World Challenge Touring Car prep 1998 to include motor/tranny swap to H22 VTEC motor (Prelude SI Version) for WC racing rules.
Competed Select World Challenge Venues 1998-1999
Used for limited regional ITE/ITR/ITS racing 2000-2003
Driver school instructing 2003-present, hasn't raced past 10 years only track time events.
Current form of car:
New H22 2.2L VTEC (195hp) crate motor installed in 2003
No more than 2000 miles/30 hours on the new motor
Prelude SI Transmission - all fresh
Prelude SI front suspension and brakes - hawk pads
Koni shocks / Eibach springs
HART adjustable rear sway bar
14 point cage with 3 bar NASCAR door style
Recaro race seats - driver and passenger (added for instructing)
16 rims - 15x7's (Speedline and others)
20 assorted BFG/Kumho race tires - 1 set of new Hoosiers
Too many spares and extra parts to list - downsized from a 6 car team in the late 90's so have lots of OEM Honda Accord and Prelude parts in bins left over - everything from engine, tranny, body, brakes, suspension, drive-line. Parts could be sorted and sold off too, no time to do it myself.
Family and active kids force me to sell - no time for racing or track time anymore - needs a new home. Great car, superb handling and lots of potential for either IT or Honda Challenge racing (H1/H2).
Straight and no dents - Stored in temperature controlled building its entire life.
