You are looking at a true garage find.
Look at the last two pictures to see all of the things that had to be moved to gain access to just be able to look at this vintage hot rod.
It has been in storage in Fort Myers FL since 1988.
The top was chopped by the owner and his son in the 70's and is a fantastic job no weld seems doors fit great and will look great when this truck is finished.
The suspension was converted to a mustang two set up. With what looks like a late 70's Trans Am steering column.
The engine is a 302 with a c4 behind it. All I have done is make sure motor turns which it does and that the transmission had fluid in it that did not look like mud. it does have a Edelbrock carb on it but I cannot tell if it ever has had fuel to it.
The steel body is in great shape, you can see that before it went into storage the passenger side drip rail was removed as they started to redo the truck and then lost interest for some reason.
The bed is steel as well as the tail gate, the louvered hood and radiator shell. These are not cheap repo's
Has the steel dash insert as well as a wooden insert with vintage Sun gauges
Truck has a old school wiring kit installed. Which shows at one time this truck was built the right way for its time.
Frame is solid just been modified for the Mustang two front end
The running boards are steel but the fenders are fiberglass that were brought at one time. I imaging when they started to change the look of the truck
We installed the running board and the front fender on one side to show the two possible looks this truck could have. We do have the rear fenders but I have to go up in the barn to get them but they are in the same great shape as the ones shown.
This truck will make someone a great project and my plan was to build it this winter but I have found a Cuda that I want to build instead so this project has to go. At 12,000 dollars this truck is a steal when you consider all that is here and been done.
