1971 Ford Mustang Convertible
Attention Mustang Collectors and Enthusiasts!
1971-1972 Mustangs are becoming very collectable and prices are on the rise!
This Mustang is 1 of 1 built which is fully documented with the Deluxe and Specialized Marti Reports!
It was built on schedule on 10-13-1970 at the Dearborn factory!
Originally ordered at Grady Whitlock Ford, INC in Beckley, WV!
From the information I’ve gathered it was owned by the same family for over 40 years!
This was a full and very extensive show quality restoration which was completed roughly five years ago!
The body is in beautiful condition with a straight body and nice gaps!
The car was painted in its original color of Light Pewter Metallic paint. Factory code V #3314-A. The paint is show quality and the black accents really add the extra touch!
Everything on the exterior has been restored or restored including such items as the convertible top, window trim, bumpers, door handles, lights, etc. All of the glass is also new!
The car sits on new Mustang chrome mag wheels with BF Goodrich 225/70/14 tires!
The exterior is complimented with the original black Clarion knit/Corinthian vinyl bucket seats which have been completely restored. Factory code # CA!
The interior of this Mustang is in beautiful condition and extremely comfortable to ride in. Everything has been restored or replaced. All of the gauges work except the clock. The windows roll up and down very smoothly. The power top works excellent. The stereo system has been modernized and sounds great!
The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the matching numbers 351-2V V8 H-code engine!
The attention to detail in this engine is truly stunning. The firewall is smooth and the inner fenders are beautiful. Everything in the engine compartment has obviously been replaced or restored. The engine in this car starts immediately and runs like a Swiss watch! It breathes through a custom exhaust system what sounds really mean!
The trunk compartment is also very detailed and home to the spare tire!
The undercarriage is very neat and organized. Everything has also been restored or replaced. It retains the factory optioned power front disc brakes!
Convertible top boot and car cover included with the sale!

“I’ve been following 1971-1972 Ford Mustangs for the last couple of years at auctions and private party listings. They have been increasing in value quickly for a couple of different reasons. One reason is over the last ten years or so many people have been restoring 66-70 Mustangs. They haven’t been hunting and restoring 1971-1972 Mustangs because the market hasn’t been strong for them. Fast forward many years later and now there’s a demand but very little supply. I also currently own a very rare 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 429 4-speed with AC that I’ll be listing for sale over the next couple of weeks. They only made 556 total 4-speeds! So, if you’re looking for a show quality 1971 Mustang Convertible that can be enjoyed you’ve met your match. This car is a great color and the air conditioning helps on the extra hot days. This car is matching numbers and has a lot of other great features. It’s great looking, very comfortable and runs and sounds excellent. If you’ve been following my website you’ve seen that my classic cars and trucks don’t last when I list them for sale. If you’re interested please call me to discuss. Get it before someone else does!”
