Our condensed Engine Modeling and Design Software that utilizes the Inlet Valve Mach Index to calculate optimum valve motion and events in an Idealized Induction Process. Controlled Induction Jr. v3.03 will accurately model a 2035 cubic inch, 12 cylinder, as well as, a .79 cubic inch, single cylinder at 27000 RPM, while calculating the camshaft requirement of both.

The equations powering this software were written by Dick Jones, who spent over thirty years in charge of Research & Development for Champion Spark Plug Company, at their West Coast Engine Dynamometer Test Facility in Long Beach, CA. With a nearly unlimited budget from Champion, Dick obtained the most accurate instrumentation available at the time. Dick developed and refined his equations during those thirty years, while designing, developing and building engines that powered four Indy 500 winners, along with three USAC Indy Champions, to mention a few.
