Here are the basics and some of the tricks I have learned from racing the last 40 years.
1985 Firebird (with title). Rust-free when I started and it has a beautiful Red Urethane paint job on it.
Body is pretty much built like a Stock eliminator car. Stock floor, elec windows work, tilt wheel, stock bumpers and headlights (they work and are NICE on those hot days in the shut down and in staging lanes!). Steel hood with remote latch and stock rear hatch.
Complete S&W Race Cars roll bar with swing out side bar, (I have the three pieces if you want to complete the cage), S&W sub frame kit, S&W 9" Ford with Strange alum center, 35 spline axles nd Strange brakes. S&W adjustable Torque Arm, Rear control arms are chromemoly with QA1 rod ends.
Front suspension: QA1 coil over conversion kit, QA1 tubular lower control arms, QA1 adjustable camber caster plates. Ed Quay Race cars modified idler arm, steering sector and bump-steer outer tie rods.
Ed Quay master cylinder kit and their modified brake pedal. New brake lines and new front calipers and rotors.
Engine: 415" AEM Race Engines small block with Dart Sportsman block, Comp Specialties Howards forged crank, powdered 6" rods, forged flat tops. ATI damper, Comp Cams belt drive, RHS 220 alum heads with Comp Cams billet steel rockers and Comp springs. Flat Tappet cam with edm drilled lifters.
Trans: Brand new (7/20/16) BTE 8" torque converter, 1.76 power-glide with Ultra-Bell, BTE Pro Brake, Kevlar band, 6 high and 5 reverse clutch packs, TSR race pump and billet input shaft.
Victory Performance chromoly driveshaft with 1350 u-joints.
New safety harness this Spring, MSD, QuickFuel pump and carbs (650 and 850), 3 gallon rear fuel cell, Optima battery, one-wire 80 amp alternator.
Delay Box or No Delay box: Custom built EZ-Swap plug in. 10 seconds and you can have the delay box in or out. Run both classes the same day; heating is a non-issue with aluminum radiator big fan and trans cooler with it's own fan.
Dyno sheet, oil sample reports are all available to interested buyers.
I don't have to tell you how much money it costs to build a new race car from the ground up or the time involved but this is a NICE little bracket car that goes rounds every race.
Buy it before September and you get the complete and I mean 100% complete car for the cost of the engine and trans; $15,000.00. No trades, no wheeling/dealing just bring the cash. I can deliver part way or maybe all the way for fuel expenses.
