Includes four-link suspension, anti-sway bar, funny car cage, rack and pinion steering, and wheelie bars. Chassis upgrades and refinements performed by Teddy Houser, THRC, Lincolnton, NC. Weight of car is approximately 2,650 lbs. All steel body with the exception of fiberglass hood, hood scoop and front and rear bumpers. Still retains original dashboard.
500 cu. in. big block Ford (based on series 385 motor architecture) built by Johnny Arnold, Arnold Racing Engines, Pensacola, FL (Alabama Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee). There are five shakedown runs on the motor since being freshened by Mike Kennedy, Racing Engine Development, Inc., of Trinity, NC. Includes new aluminum rods and new aluminum pistons. Engine has roller cam, roller rockers, needle bearing cam bearings, lifter bore sleeves, titanium intake valves, Danny Bee belt drive, external oil pump, crank trigger, and custom aluminum oil pan. Heads and intake are aluminum Trick Flow Specialty with extensive work. Headers are step design built by Greg Bentley, Bentley Fabrications, Lenoir, NC; headers exit through rear of front fenders. Engine is normally aspirated with a 1050 Holley carburetor built by Chuck Nyutten, set up to flow 1350 cfm. Car comes with custom-made, powder-coated engine stand with drip pan.
Transmission is a powerglide built by Joe White of Greenfield, IN, with all top-of-the-line aftermarket internals. Torque converter from Performance Torque Converters, Muscle Shoals, AL. Shifter is Bandit Shifter with Shiftnoid electric shifter, and manually adjustable MSD RPM shift module. Transmission freshened annually by Bill Varner, Varner Transmissions, Charlotte, NC. Car has Biondo Mega 400 delay box.
Safety features: Onboard fire extinguishing system deployed via handle; hand-held extinguisher mounted in passenger compartment as well. Car has Stroud Parachute and five-point seat belts. Roll cage around driver is appropriately padded. Car has five-gallon Harwood fuel cell.
Other equipment: MSD 7AL3 ignition box, Painless wiring harness/panel, electric water pump, electric fans, and electric fuel pump, big tachometer and shift light, oil pressure and oil temperature gauge, water temperature gauge, two 12-volt Optima Yellow Top Batteries.
Rearend: 9-inch Ford, reinforced housing with 35-spline Moser axles and 4.56 gears. Car comes with two additional complete Ford 9-inch rear ends, a 4.30 and a 4.86. All three rearends are built with Moser and Strange components throughout. All three rear ends were built by Jeff Carlson of Maranatha Car Crafting, Spencer, IN.
Car also comes with a complete spare racing top sportsman powerglide transmission built by Alan Pope of Hilliard, FL. Again, all, first-rate components used in build.
Car has Rodlite wheels at all four corners. Mickey Thompson ET Drag Fronts and 14 X 32 stiff side slicks.
The car is very well constructed, unique, and very clean. It runs straight and consistent. There is plenty of room in the car for the driver to stretch out, “Lazy Boy” recliner-like. I have receipts for everything that was ever done to or bought for the car since it was built. The color is PPG lemon ice with the name air brushed on the lower sides of the car in blues and greens. Custom “Tweet Revenge” logo decals are affixed to the upper panels. Car has an Indiana title as an “assembled car.” Car has had the chassis certified previously. Car is ready to go.
