have two 9 second pump gas cars, and do not need both, so I putting my pump gas Duster up for sale.
Its a 72ish Duster with a lot of good parts on it, that is very easy to work on. I have owned it five years and raced it for six years. Every year the engine gets freshened and all new bearings and rings with a thorough inspection and anything else it needs replaced. This past winter, it had all the rings and bearings replaced as well as the timing chain and all the gaskets.
The car is a back half big tire four link coil over car with an S&W rear sway bar. Rear tires are 17x33 slicks and a narrowed Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. The dana has a bearing preload style cover on it as well. Tires are brand new and have less than 12 passes on them.
Car has a full cage, and is currently certed to 8.50. It has a full halo, and front bars, knee bar and window net, one seat and the typical 5-way harness an aluminum dash with the typical gauges in it. Interior also has aluminum door panels and sail panels and the window cranks were left intact and are very functional.
Trunk area has the typical back half treatment with aluminum tubs and trunk floor with fuel cell. 275 Magna fuel pump is mounted underneath. 1/2 line up to the carb and -10 to the pump and return line.
Front of the chassis is Magnum force with DA coil overs and no inner fenders. The shock towers are tied right into the front bars and everything is super easy to work on.
Body is in fair to good condition. Paint is six years old, and is about a five footer. Has a dent where the hood flew off on the top drivers fender. Not perfect, but not that bad either. Hood is brand new as well as the lexan front and rear windows. Side windows are still glass with working cranks.
Engine is a 440 source 512 based 440 with 10.8:1 and Indy EZ1 heads. Runs 9.70's and is on pump gas with a Prosystems 1000cfm carb. Probably will go a tad faster with a Dominator. Intake is port matched and will fit an SV1, also available.
Trans is a built 727 with a carbon fiber CSR shield, A&A sprag, Griener Trans brake full manual revers valve body. 8" convertor with a 5K stall. Car can be foot braked or launched off the two step and trans brake.
