The car has a 377 cu. in. SBC (400 block with a 350 crank); a racing PowerGlide with a 4500 rpm converter; a 5.38 Dana 60 solid-mounted differential.
The engine was built for a rail job and dyno'ed at 560 hp @ 7000 rpm and 443 ft-lbs of torque @ 6400 rpm. I have attached the dyno sheet from the original build.
The car runs a consistent 10.3 seconds / 130 mph in the quarter mile. The consistence is in part because I do not run it over 8,000 rpm which causes the engine to hit the rev. limiter before I reach the quarter mile.
The frame has been back-halved and the interior has been gutted from factory but outfitted with aluminum to be somewhat finished. The body from the firewall back is factory; from the firewall forward the fiberglass is a one-piece with a separate hood which is held on by Dzus fasteners. The interior has a full roll-cage.
