Beautiful all black 1969 Chevy Nova drag race car powered by a 468 big block Chevy motor. This special car was built from the ground up by professional auto craftsmen. The tin work throughout is exceptional. The dent free body is smooth shiny and without any rust. The metal body is pure with synthetic hood, truck lid, and bumpers. All glass has been replaced with Plexiglas.
The car is equipped with powerglide transmission (with trans brake) and 9" differential. Inside is equipped with electronics and a chromalloy cage. The car is currently certified to 8.5 and meets all NHRA tech requirements for operation on NHRA drag strips.
The motor has approximately 120 quarter mile runs and 80 eighth mile runs. I have run the car primarily at Spokane (WA) Valley raceway (elevation 2348') and have consistent passes at 10.05 at 132 mph. I've also run the car at Anaconda (MT) Lost Creek Raceway (elevation 5134') eighth mile consistently at 6.70. This car is just amazing to look at and runs straight and consistent every time. It needs nothing and is ready to run as it sits. Of course I've been asked "If the car is so good, why are you selling it?" Well, I'm 72 and finally giving up(reluctantly)the dray racing hobby.
The photos of the car are of the car in storage in my shop sitting on jack stands to keep the weight off of the slicks.
