IMCA Modified Lightweight Engine Assembly
These engines are 2-3 pounds lighter than the GM aluminum headed alternative and make higher horsepower and torque while being completely serviceable by the racer without the need for IMCA tags or seals. The engines have been researched and developed by Karl Performance to compete and beat the GM 604 Crate Engine. They provide excellent drivability for dry/slick tracks and are more versatile being lighter weight allowing you to better balance your race car. It features a low compression ratio for longer and more racing between freshens. Track and dyno tested, this Karl Performance engine won its first weekend on the track!
These engines feature the following components:
• 43lb forged crankshaft
• 4340 H-beam rods
• Mahle forged pistons
• Custom ground flat tappet cam
• Factory GM Vortec heads with precise custom machine work
• Scorpion roller rockers with ARP rocker studs
• Circle track oil pan
• GM factory engine block
