For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
I just finished a partial frame off restoration on this truck with every intention of keeping it. I don't need to sell, but the arrival of our first child has changed our priorities.
The truck was taken fully apart for bodywork and rust repair and was painted 7 years ago by the previous owner. He took the engine out for another project and stored this one in his barn. It sat there for the last 5 years before I bought it. It hadn't been on the road since 1982, so I tore it back down to the frame and started over. Build took 2 years.
283 small block from a 64 Impala SS
Corvette Powerpack heads (new valve seals)

Paint and bodywork 7 yrs ago
Top painted white last month
There are a few rust areas that were treated and painted 7 yrs ago that haven't spread any since then - mainly above windshield and on lower doors. No rust in body or frame.
Removeable wood bed (stained black) over solid metal bed.
Wheels & tires:
Sandblasted and painted rims
Newer 205/75/15 tires - these were white letter tires that were sanded down to reveal the whitewalls. I wanted a wider whitewall so I masked them off and painted them wider with white Krylon fusion - got the idea from a vintage forum, apparently this is a common fix for yellowed whitewalls.
Full air ride suspension
Airlift 2600 8" front bags
Custom 2" cupped lower control arms
Airlift 2500 7" rear bags
Adjustable rear panhard bar
All new lowering shocks at all 4 corners
All bags controlled by individual Schrader valves plumbed to inside of glove box
All 3 ujoints replaced
New steering joints
New master cylinder
Rebuilt all 4 drums - new cylinders and pads
All new rubber lines
I have put less than 100 miles on it since I finished it. I have fixed a bunch of fresh build issues - full alignment, vacuum leaks, timing, spongy brakes, etc. Now it starts right up, rides smooth, and drives great.
The truck is great for cruise ins, parades, and local shows. It is not perfect, and does have a few issues but it gets a ton of attention wherever it goes.
Known issues: Smokes a little on startup due to the lack of umbrella seals in the power pack heads, trans leaks some, heater needs hooked up, front bags leak down over time - small things like that.
I have way more than that into it, but could use the money to help with a down payment on a new house. I travel a lot for work so I don't have time for haggling or games so it is priced very fairly. I will only show the truck if you are interested and have cash in hand.
