The car is back to running again. I just sat the radiator back in it to hook up the hoses and trans lines. put fresh gas in it and ran it for 2 hours. It runs at 160degrees idling. I also installed the 9" power booster and Wilwood aluminum master. It has just been re registered for the next 5 years with classic antique plates. Just to reiterate, Cash sales price is $19,500 and trade value must be in the mid $20s. I will be rewriting this ad and adding new pictures and a new rewrite because I didn't have all the info such as when the engine was rebuilt, it was bored to 283 cubic inches and has power pack heads and if I had to put the miles on it since rebuilding it, it would be around 500miles. The paint is a 1991 Toyota Maroon base/clear coat. Prefer to trade in southern region. Thanks

As for trades. I'm primarily looking for a 66-67 Nova SS. It doesn't need to be matching #s but I'd rather it be complete w/V8, ps & disc brakes at least. As far as any of the other cars, I don't want somekind of full restoration project so please don't send me those. Thanks again for all the offers.

Style: 57-1037D
BodyNo: J16554
Trim: 670
Paint: 822D
I also wanted to make sure that you know although the engine would be a great fit for this car, it is not the original engine for this 57 Chevy.

For sale is a 57 Chevy Bel Air 2-door Hardtop. This classic is about as complete as you could ask for. I bought it to build a second 57 for my Dad but my work load has loaded up with years of custom cars booked therefore this car will just continue to sit and that would be a shame. The engine was rebuilt before my purchase; it has probably more years of sitting than miles put on it. After I put a good Holley 600cfm on it, it fired up and purred. Since then, I haven't done anything else on it except bleed and adjust the new brakes. The casting# on the block is 3731548 w/ a stamping of F809CD. This CD code reads that the engine is a 265cu" 4bbl w/overdrive. I can check for a serious buyer but I do believe it also has the original factory cast iron GM 4 barrel intake and I also believe the heads to be original as well. LIKE I SAID, I will verify if someone is serious and needs that info. The distributor is also probably original. The transmission is not original and is an aluminum powerglide. It works but leaks out of the front seal after sitting. All the brakes had been redone but it still has the power steering slave on the tie rod linkage therefore there is much play so when I drove it and hit the brakes, it pulled hard right. The car needs the assembly to be completed & minimally needs steering & suspension work and a transmission reseal to get it ready to drive. I would also upgrade to power steering & disc brakes if it were me. The engine compartment is mostly original & semi-disassembled; it also comes with the factory fresh air and engine compartment heater equipment that I haven't seen in years. The dash and factory stainless, including the door flipper assemblies are all in great shape. It has tinted glass which is all in great shape. The interior and upholstery is also in great shape and is all in matching burgundy design. This car can either be done up as a driver or in the direction I intended to go and completely restore it. If you have any questions, more info and/or more pictures, just let me know. If serious, I can also get the numbers off of the rearend which I also believe is original. The floor pans and body panels look to have had many patch jobs through the years as you can see underneath and in through the body access ports, which is another reason I was going to do a rotisserie restoration on it. The paint and body really doesn't look bad beyond the front clip and it the front clip was painted, it would look good. With that said, it is still a solid car that if it had new carpet, a good paint job and assembly, it would be a great driver to have fun with. Oh yeah, it also has a good set of Chevy rally wheels w/center caps and good tires on it as seen in the pictures. It will be sold with a clear Texas title and new/never installed 1957 Texas Plates as seen in the pictures. Before me having it, I believe this car had Tennessee & Kentucky plates in its lifetime. The only thing i truly know that I don't have for this car is bumpers.

I will not part out or sell any part of this car separately.

Other than a cash sale, I would consider either a partial or maybe a full trade for a few vehicles only. I would consider a professionally built, fully tubbed 1st gen Camaro for a drag or pro street car. I would also consider a complete & driving 62-64 Chevy Impala or 62-67 Chevy Nova; No RUST or BONDO BUCKETS. Please do not ask me to take in trade any other vehicles, especially boats or motorcycles. I
Also, it you are not serious, please do not waste my time as it was hard enough to take this time to place these ads. Thanks and Take care.
This would be an as it sale only, with no warranties
