For sale in our Chicago showroom is scarce 1957 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. The 1957 Chevy was designed by Clare "Mac" MacKichan and debuted in September 1956 and went on to be one of the most iconic classic cars ever. The design and available options were so well received that people referred to the car as a "Baby Cadillac". After chief Engineer Ed Cole made some changes that significantly increased the cost of the car but made it one of the nicest looking cars of the time.
There were many body styles to choose from in 1957 including a custom-built El Morocco but one of the scarcest to see today is the sedan delivery. These were not the babied and loved cars that were washed and waxed with joy but were workhorses that helped delivery drivers and blue-collar workers put bread on the table. The fact that these cars were worked harder there are not many left available and this is one to consider.
Under that sleek silver hood you will find a very strong 350 Cubic Inch Chevy small block mated to a 700R4 Transmission that will get this beauty up to highway speed without hesitation. The original dash has been updated with Auto Meter gauges and the original style seat and door panels have been reupholstered in a very tasteful charcoal gray and silver vinyl. There is plenty of room in back for promotional materials to make this a mobile advertising unit for your business.
