For your consideration is a gorgeous and very rare 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS 2 door Hardtop equipped just how you want with a 396 Big Block V8 375 H.P. Engine, 4 speed Muncie Manual Transmission, Power Steering and Power Brakes. Engine and Transmission have just rebuilt in Daytona Beach Florida, and has less than 100 miles on her! And here’s the thing; I have the receipts to know how, what, when, and where the work was done! It’s just not verbal from “the guy” that allegedly had the work done!! The correct Lemonwood Yellow Paint ( Y-2 correct paint code) is beautiful and shines at any angle with much depth and gloss. In person, it looks great and is consistent with a very clean respectable driver quality classic automobile. No rust bubbles, cracks, nicks, digs, stone chips, etc. The undercarriage is extremely clean with very solid, straight, surface rust free frame & floor boards. A thin layer of undercoat is present which is consistent with a factory application. Bumpers, as well as all of the other chrome or stainless, still show very well. Trunk pan is very solid, and finished with trunk splatter paint.
It rides, drives, and handles like a dream; straight down the road with no shimmies, shakes, or vibrations. Extremely tight and a pleasure to drive. Very easy to maneuver with power steering and brakes. I would not hesitate to get behind the wheel of this car with my family and drive it anywhere! The Impala has a great fit with everything lining up very well; doors, trunk, hood, etc. The doors have that distinct sound as you close them. You car guys know what I’m talking about! All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, gauges, windows, are functioning properly. Engine fires right up with no smoking, ticking, noises, etc. Has a fantastic rumble with Dual Exhaust accompanied by Flowmaster Style Mufflers. Car has just been serviced and ready to drive anywhere. The Black Interior had been all redone a number of years ago with new seat covers, foam, door panels, etc, and shows very well. No rips or tears in the seats, headliner & carpet is bright and crisp. All of the weather strips, felts, gaskets, rubbers, etc show as a higher end driver quality car should. Below is a breakdown of the car:
