Hot Rod - : an automobile rebuilt or modified for high speed and fast acceleration usually consisting of readily available new and used parts.

You decide where to go from here; Drag car, G-Force Road Race, Street Rod or anything in between. The foundation is built and its design goals were basic yet aggressive: Build the lightest, seldom seen, classic lined Chevrolet A body (because it still has numerous parts available) into a street/track car that would weigh under 3000 pounds and yet accelerate, stop and corner well above 1+ G's and not look like it could - A wolf in sheep's clothing.

To accomplish this, numerous excessive weight pieces have been removed the frame has been completely redesigned tested and hand built in a "backbone" design style (i.e. Corvette/Lotus) on a full size surface plate to be square and true by local NASCAR Road Race and Circle Track car builder Steve Teets from STR.

The engine mounting has been moved back 10 inches and easily accepts the big block small block or Corvette/Camaro LS Chevy engines. A light weight Sweet power steering rack and pinion with fully adjustable short/long arm front suspension with a hollow splined shaft and aluminum armed anti sway bar is employed up front and the choice of 3 link 4 link or self centering 4 link rear suspension using a fully fabricated Speedway Engineering rear housing hubs and axles brings up the rear. Included are custom valved fully adjustable Bilstein racing coil over shocks for all corners. Brakes are Willwood 4 piston front with matching rotors and 2 piston rear.

The rear frame opening is set up for 18 to 25 gallon Fuel Safe fuel cell and utilizes all existing stock body mounts and the 90+ pound bumpers have been replaced with 5 pound fiberglass shells painted to match. The paint and body work are done and flawless. The front fenders were replaced with OEM new old stock because I could get them at the time. Also replaced were the upper and lower door hinges, window regulators, front and rear glass, both quarter glass, all weatherstrips, outside door handles, tail lights, headlights, headlight surrounds, grill, trim and the list goes on. All brand new GM in the box parts. Numerous other pieces to complete this car will also be included.

The original paint was stripped to bare metal, primed and blocked multiple times then the final colors were sprayed in a down draft booth with the best acrylic urethane from PPG/Seimens and professionally applied and baked in a state of the art down draft spray booth. Next the classic SS stripes were laid out and shot in Guards Red then wet sanded and the entire car was cleared over to complete the two stage paint application.
